Sarah D. Zigulich is the Founding Member and Principal of SDZ Law, LLC. She restricts her practice exclusively to the area of family law, including traditional contested litigation, appeals, negotiation, mediation, alternative dispute resolution, and collaborative law.

Prior to founding the firm, Sarah established herself as an associate attorney at a large Chicago family law firm.

It is vital to Sarah that her clients have the tools and information to make impactful decisions during their litigation. She takes the time to specifically discuss the process, advantageous strategies, and potential outcomes with her clients. She has been consistently recognized by her peers in the field, including being selected as a 2019 Rising Star by Super Lawyers, a 2019 Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers, receiving the award of the Top 40 Under 40 by The National Advocates in 2017, and being granted the “Clients’ Choice Award” by Avvo in 2015.

Sarah is the Co-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Alliance for Women Committee and is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and Illinois Bar Association. She earned her law degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. While in law school, she was a member of The John Marshall Law Review and belonged to the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society. Sarah graduated cum laude from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a double minor in Sociology and Women’s Studies. Prior to practicing, Sarah was a legal extern to a judge presiding in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

In addition to her legal training, Sarah obtained her Divorce Mediation Certificate from Northwestern University in 2013.

Sarah’s clients include residents of Cook County and neighboring communities, including Will County, Lake County, DuPage County, Kane County, and Kendall County.
